The other day, I dared myself to create a potential mess by getting out some craft supplies and such for little Sprout to do abit of pasting! Firstly I laid down some newspaper over the floor, put an apron on my little girl, ripped up some paper and streamers, got out some pipecleaners and little pom-poms, and THEN...
^I brought the glue out!!!

I really like some of the stuff from Cath Kidston (London). The following pics show a couple of outfits that I would love but sooo cannot afford (the exchange rate for Aussie dollars into UK pounds is quite 'out of my range'!)^I love the cardi vest specifically in this one. And I just like the photo shot of all the fabrics - I would be in heaven in this scenario!!!^I think this outfit looks really spiffy!!! I would need to lose the muffin top around my hip/waist area to pull off the skirt (easier said than done - trust me I'm trying!) but I like it MUCH!

And today in the mail I got the new catalogue of Cath Kidston - the home issue. On a quick perusal, I have spotted a few things I can go ga-ga over!!

Everything is so different to what I would usually go for and probably would look so out of place in my abode but the eclectic look is kinda in these days isn't it?!!

I am endeavouring to get into some Christmas crafts very soon so hopefully I can show you a few things that I am up to with that soon!!

About a month back, I sent a little handmade present to one of my good friends back in Tassie for her birthday. In deciding what I would make her, I thought about her crafty endeavors and knew that she had done a few stitching projects before so I thought that a compact needle keeper would be a groovy little gift to give her. That way she could take it with her in her handbag for any quick mending jobs that may come her way or just keep it with her craft project stash .^Here is the one I made (orange with aqua dots) alongside the piccy in the book. The book that I got the pattern from is called 'Sew Darn Cute' by Jenny Ryan. It includes 30 Sweet and Simple Projects to Sew & Embellish. It is such a delicious book. You can buy it HERE.

I wasn't expecting it so soon,

but the rose plants we planted about a month back have already started flowering. I have found a scattered few on most of the plants. Here is a beautiful red one - can't remember it's name.
Here is a very pretty Iceberg rose.
I totally love roses - as I do paddocks of canola at full growth...

My goodness me!

The last few weeks have been totally MAD!

We have been on holiday (some photos to come later) and we returned over a week ago now.

Since then we have had different events on to attend and we have been trying to keep up with things to be done around the house - inside and out!

To top it off, our computer monitor decided to break down and we couldn't do without it for more than 2 weeks while it gets fixed so we went and bought a new one - a slightly bigger one at that! The other one can get fixed and we can use that as a spare!

BUT amongst all this hustle bustle the biggest event was...

MY LITTLE GIRL TURNED 2!!

I took her to playgroup and I took her out to lunch where she got to have chips and icecream.
After that she was quite pooped and fell asleep quite swiftly in the car on the way home!

Happy first day of Spring to you all!!

The time for new beginnings (and that doesn't just have to be for the growth of plants!)
